Discover the highlights of ancient and modern day Rhodes during this picturesque orientation tour of the city. Depart the hotel with a scenic drive by coach through the modern areas of Rhodes. As you pass by the Mandraki Esplanade, you will see the government buildings, Church of Annunciation built 1925, a replica of the Old Church of the Knights of St John and the deer statues at the entrance of Mandraki port, your driver will then continue up to Monte Smith for panoramic views and photo opportunities of Rhodes and the Aegean Sea and view from the distance the Acropolis of Rhodes with its Ancient stadium nearby built 2nd Century BC.
Next, you will continue on to Rhodes Medieval City. Once your coach reaches the Gate d’Amboise, you will disembark and proceed to the Grand Masters Palace for a guided walking tour. The Palace was built in the 14th century A.D., destroyed in 1856 and rebuilt in 1939 by the Italians in order to accommodate the King of Italy, Emmanuel 11 and Mussolini.
You will then walk down the Street of the Knights, where you will see the many inns once occupied by the crusaders. At the end of the street, you will arrive at the Archaeological Museum, formerly the Knights Hospital, the museum was built in 1440 A.D., and is the most well preserved building in the Old City. After the City tour, clients can have some free time to them selves at their leisure, after the free time given we board the coaches to return back to the hotel.

Kizkumu is the area of 600 meter shallow water that divides the bay into two. There is an island in the bay. According to the legend, a girl who wants to reach her lover fills her skirt with
sand and starts moving ahead in the sea by filling the sea with her sand. But she was drowned when she ran out of sand. Just at the beginning point of the shallow water area, there is a
sculpture of this girl.

Day cruise the to island of Symi
Once we arrive at Rhodes port we board our boat for our Cruise to the Island of Symi. As you enter the natural harbour of Symi, you will be charmed by this beautiful Island. One of the most picturesque islands of the Dodecanese, Symi promises the visitors peace and tranquility. The main town of Gialos with its neo-classical houses climbing amphitheatrically up the hill shows the grandeur of the Island. Being world famous for its natural sponges has brought Symi a great wealth which is reflected in its people and culture. A stop at the beautiful bay of Panormitis is a must; the 17th century monastery of Saint Michael welcomes its pilgrims as well as its tourists to admire the treasures dedicated to the Saint for his miracles. The visit to the Monastery is some times done before the visit to the main town of Gialos. Lunch is served at the town of Gialos at a local tavern. On our return back to Rhodes, our coaches will be waiting for us near the boat for our escorted transfer back to the hotel.

It is said the Colossos of Rhodes, one of the seven Wonders of the Ancient World , probably stood there as well. Your drive will then continue upto Monte Smith for the panoramic views and photo opportunities of Rhodes and the Aegean Sea, Monte Smith houses the Acropolis of Rhodes and the Ancient Stadium, which was built in the 2nd Century BC. You will then proceed to the Old City of Rhodes. Upon reaching the Gate d ‘ Amboise , you will disembark the coach and walk to the Grand Master’s Palace for a guided tour. Next you will stroll down the Street of the Knights, where you will see the many inns once occupied by the crusaders. At the end of the street you will pass by the Archaeological Museum, formerly the Knights Hospital, it was built in 1440 A.D., and is the most magnificent and well preserved building in the Old City. Your tour will conclude with a visit to a Greek tavern , where you will watch the chef prepare the dish of the day. You will be shown how to prepare classic Greek dishes such as tzatziki, fried meatballs and many others, and learn cooking tips from the chef. After the demonstration, you will sample the foods you will have helped prepare before re – boarding your coach for your return drive back to your hotel.
